36 Birds is a swiss-congolese Singer/Songwriter, currently based in Zurich originating from a family of musicians and dancers. Influenced by Hip-Hop and R’n’B-culture, he began writing and recording his own songs at the age of fifteen, but felt that as a homosexual brown man, it wouldn’t be easy for him to fit into this machoistic, hypermasculine environment.
He fell in love with the Techno-Scene, and shortly after met his current Production Team, Melvyn Buss and Arci Friede, also known for their collectives Monumental Men and Sirens of Lesbos. 36 Birds started to combine r’n’b with techno- and rave-elements, shaping his very own sound, what he calls rave’n’b or darkroom-pop. In his songs he tells stories about race, religion and sexuality. He hopes people will be able to identify with his lyrics and somehow find a coping-system in his music.

SHEYTAN
They are a sinful dancer. With the shoulders of a mezopotamian warlord. Our eyes meet across the mountains. D**N this is some scary S**T. But they embarrass their father.

 HARVEY CLARK
